all about Kirat
Kirat is a psychotherapist who offers a multidimensional approach to healing by nurturing the mind, body, and spirit. Kirat’s approach is centered on helping clients reconnect with their intuition in order to participate in their lives with greater wisdom, clarity, and possibility.
Her clinical training includes complex trauma, mood and anxiety disorders, grief and change work, eating disorders, and difficulties with intrapersonal (self-compassion / self-esteem) and interpersonal issues. She also works with themes related to developing greater trust in oneself and others, strengthening one’s connection to their intuition, and re-aligning with a deeper sense of authenticity and meaning in life. Kirat addresses concerns related to important life-changes, relational dynamics (romantic or otherwise), spirituality, and transcendental philosophy.
Kirat holds a BA from Columbia University in Psychology, an AA in Buying and Merchandising from The London College of Fashion, and an EdM & MA in Mental Health Counseling at Columbia University. She has completed experiential training in intensive outpatient adolescent health at Charlie Health, and has worked across a variety of mental health settings to bridge the gap between mental health and mindfulness. She works with several brands to introduce meditative practices into the modern world.

how she works
While life can bring about challenging experiences, Kirat's approach works collaboratively with the client to enact desired change in an authentic way. She uses her background in Tibetan Buddhist philosophy, relational theories, and archetypal work, like tarot, to help clients transform their lives from the inside out.
Through her studies, Kirat merges contemplative training with the field of psychology to identify how these practices can be used as instruments for social healing. From her research and work at the intersection of Buddhism and psychology, her approach supports clients on their path toward greater alignment and joy. She also works intimately with Jungian analysis (dream work) and Internal Family Systems (parts work) to help clients restore balance between their intellect and intuition.
