all about Becca

Becca is a therapist who believes that "the quality of our relationships determine the quality of our lives", and the most important relationship of all is the one we have with ourselves. Developing self-awareness is the first step towards deepening self-understanding and acceptance. When we learn to meet ourselves with compassion, we expand our capacity for emotional healing, connection, and meaningful change. Whether you're processing trauma or loss, struggling with dating or intimacy, navigating complex family dynamics or life transitions, Becca will support you in building resilience, confidence, psychological flexibility, and a greater sense of agency.

She is currently pursuing her Master’s in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness at NYU and holds a B.A. in English and Asian Areas of exploration with clients:  Life transitions, relationship or intimacy issues, complex family dynamics, attachment wounds, grief and loss, creative blocks, anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD and C-PTSD, perfectionism, emotional regulation, self-esteem, professional burnout, career change, people-pleasing, and boundary setting.

Modalities used: Relationally Focused Psychodynamic Therapy, Attachment Theory, Existential-humanistic therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness-based approaches, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and trauma-informed care.

how she works

Becca's therapeutic approach is collaborative and eclectic, tailored to each client's unique experiences, struggles, and goals. Drawing from attachment theory, psychodynamic therapy, existentialism, mindfulness, ACT, IFS, and trauma-informed care, she works alongside clients to explore unconscious patterns that contribute to distorted thinking, emotional distress, or relational challenges.

Becca is a lifelong artist and musician who spent 15 years working as a designer before entering the mental health field. Her background has given her a deep appreciation for the healing power of creativity and imagination. She hopes to help clients access and express their individuality, while guiding them in designing lives that reflect their unique values, abilities, desires, and needs.

In addition to her clinical work, Becca volunteers as a family mentor with NAMI NYC, supporting family members of individuals living with severe mental illness, trauma, addiction, and/or developmental disabilities.
