all about Ali

Ali works from the belief that healing begins when people feel safe enough to explore themselves with honesty, curiosity, and compassion. Guided by a deep commitment to client-centered care, Ali supports individuals in moving through anxiety, trauma, and uncertainty with greater clarity and self-trust.

Many of Ali’s clients are thoughtful, highly self-aware people who have spent years trying to understand themselves intellectually, yet still feel stuck, disconnected, or unsure how to create lasting change. Her work helps clients move beyond analyzing their experiences and toward developing a deeper relationship with their emotions, body, and inner world.

Whether someone is feeling lost, burnt out, or simply wanting a deeper understanding of themselves, Ali aims to create a therapeutic space where clients can slow down, connect deeply, and move toward a more fulfilling and authentic life.

Ali received her MA in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness at New York University Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development and holds a BA in Psychology from Boston University.

Areas of exploration with clients: anxiety, trauma & PTSD, OCD, perfectionism, attachment & relational trauma, chronic illness & chronic pain, sexual health & intimacy, women’s health, life transitions & grief.

Modalities used: Internal family systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Somatic Therapies, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Person-centered Therapy.

how she works

Ali’s approach to therapy is relational and individualized, grounded in the belief that the therapeutic relationship itself is a valuable part of the healing process. She meets clients with warmth, authenticity, and presence, viewing therapy as a space where people can safely explore parts of themselves they may have learned to avoid, suppress, or disconnect from. Ali believes meaningful change happens not through judgment or forcing transformation, but through developing awareness, compassion, and greater emotional security with oneself and others.

Her clinical lens draws from Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and person-centered frameworks. She also incorporates somatic awareness and trauma-informed practices to help clients better understand the connection between their emotions, thoughts, nervous system responses, and lived experiences.

Whether clients are navigating life transitions, struggling with

anxiety, or trying to reconnect with a sense of purpose and identity, Ali aims to support them in creating a life that feels more embodied, connected, and meaningful.
